Femininity

Balance
Synchronicity
Symmetry
Melody
Harmony

We are one person, one mind, soul and spirit within one body. Yet our lives can mirror another's, or our looks or spirit can resemble, though all that one being is made up of

And although we are biologically male or female, there is a masculine and feminine side to everyone, more literally the right being masculine and left the feminine.

Now I know its walking on eggshells to touch on this subject people devote their whole life to, but to be Feminine in this Western culture is almost seen as a weakness. Everyone is already so individualistic,
Yet I don't understand rude men. How they make fun of women right in front of them.

To the Jaded

All your lost hope, bitterness, and "the earth is dead"s isn't going to help anybody.

‎”Would you like to save the world from the degradation and destruction it seems destined for? Then step away from shallow mass movements and quietly go to work on your own self-awareness. If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” —Lao Tzu

The domino has fallen.
Perhaps all we need is inspiration...

Bicycle! Bicycle!

OHHH yes. There's something about riding far distances on your bicycle that feels amazing! One ride and your re-arranging your life to ride more frequently, to spend more time outside, or to paint glorious landscapes. As I rode along the river and under bridges, as well as through tunnels made by the autumn colored trees above, I felt extraordinary! All of my senses were heightened and the endorphins from exercising were pumping throughout my body. Not to mention, while this all happened, I was getting where I needed to go, for free, FASTER than public transit could get me there.

I've biked a lot this summer, but now I feel inspired to step it up a notch to bike year round and buy lights to bike at night. Although, there comes the problem of having to yield to appropriate clothing and footwear. I've come to the conclusion, after months of lugging around extra shoes and arriving at parties wearing bike shorts, to wear whatever I want to wear. Aside from skin-tight jeans and shoes with no tracking, it has worked out well! This lovely "retro-glam" lady came to the same conclusion and wrote about it in her blog:
http://www.thebirdwheel.com/biking-in-heels-how-we-ride

A poem that truly puts into words what riding on a bike feels like:

ON MY OLD BICYCLE
I KNOW OUR CITY BETTER THAN YOU, CAR DRIVER.
I SEE YOU TALK ON YOUR PHONE,
FIDDLE WITH YOUR RADIO,
FIGHT WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND.
I RIDE MY OLD BICYCLE
DOWN THE SAME STREETS EVERY DAY---
AVOIDING THE SAME MANGLED BIRD WINGS
AND SQUIRREL TAILS MONTHLY
MELD WITH THE BLACK TAR OF OUR CITY.
MY ROUTE IS A NEIGHBORHOOD OF SMELLS:
THE PANADERIA, THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP, THE CAFE,
THE METAL WORKING PLANT WITH ROWS OF MEN
IN JUMPSUITS EATING BREAKFAST AND DRINKING
HOT COFFEE AT 8:30 A.M. EVERY DAY.
THE STEAM FROM THE CUPS WARMS THEIR FACES.
I COAST PAST THE LAUNDROMAT AIR INTO MY PATH
AND BRAKE NEAR THE PRINT SHOP THAT RETURNS ME
TO A CHILDHOOD FILLED WITH TURPENTINE AND OILY PAINT.
I FEEL SORRY FOR THE DRIVERS
WHO DON'T FEEL THE WIND NEW EACH MORNING
AND THE HUMIDITY THAT CHASES MY NECK EACH AFTERNOON.
I LEARN THE AWKWARD HEARTBEATS OF EACH STOPLIGHT
AND KNOW THE TOPOGRAPHY OF THE CURBS WITH MY KNEES.

THE SIDEWALKS ARE RICH WITH COLOR:
THE OJIBWE MAN WEARING A RED HEADBAND
WHO HOLDS HIS GIRLFRIEND'S HAND,
THE BROWN MOTHER WHOSE DAUGHTER SKIPS AHEAD,
THE HMONG MAN SMOKING A CIGARETTE.
OLD WHITE WOMEN MAKE SHADOWS
AS THEY CROSS THE STREET AT THE PACE OF A FLOWER'S OPENING.

ALL SUMMER I RIDE PAST THE OLD YELLOW HOUSE
GETTING A FACE LIFT FROM TWO BLACK MEN
IN HARD HATS AND WORK BOOTS---
WHAT CAR DRIVER CARES ABOUT THEIR PROGRESS?
STEEP HILLS DON'T MAKE THEIR HEARTS RACE
OR THEIR HANDS SWEAT.
DURING AUTUMN I DODGE FALLING LEAVES
AND RIDE IN THE WINDY PREFIX OF WINTER.
I FROWN WHEN I HANG UP MY BICYCLE FOR THE SEASON
AND BECOME ONE OF THE SHADES IN CARS,
FEELING NOTHING OF THIS CITY
BUT MY OWN METALIC HURRY

Genuine Friends

OH! there is so much to life! So much to care about, so much to do, and millions of attitudes towards it all to choose from. Yet it's so easy to become jaded, depressed, and disillusioned. It's also very easy to become narrow minded, and to only see what will benefit your own self-designed plan.

Who will help us?

Of course there is prayer, and intuition. All we need to know is within us; even though often times our own agendas and egos can often get in the way of absolute truth. It is the battle between Knowing and Thinking in our analytical minds.

So how can we see clearly, when everything seems so gray and overwhelming, when you expected black and white? Our friends. My mother and I have been talking a lot recently about genuine friends. The ones that encourage you, will do anything for you, just for the sake of service. The unconditional love that comes from a such a friend dispels most evils in the world. But wait, this sounds idealistic and unrealistic. No one can be this good! When there's a problem between friends, they cannot just discuss, forgive, and transcend! The only one you can truly trust is yourself.

What does all this individualism and distrust breed? A lonely, capitalist world where the abused abuse, and the lost stumble upon escape upon temporary escape to extract their minds from the vicious cycles of abuse. I'm not just talking about the literal sense of abuse, I'm talking about the simple ways we interact with each other, with our selves, with our earth. If it is not to evolve into strong and purposeful beings, than what is it for?

With all that life is, can we not encourage each other to evolve?

Self-Love

After reading this article,
http://www.treehugger.com/files/2011/03/the-self-compassion-sustainability-connection-ie-take-it-easy.php
Something clicked.

As much as money makes the world go round or love makes the world go round, whichever your perspective, the only way anyone will get anything done is if they love themselves. It can open up their awareness of their life calling, give them the courage to make it happen, and the weightlessness to smile along the way.

Life is the ultimate experience, and often fear and dependency prohibits us from making the world our own. If each of us were living in the way that resonates best within them, wouldn't it be easier to live? If we were all committed to constantly evolving into becoming the most we could be, wouldn't it be more fulfilling to live?

And we mustn't live to inspire others. Or even help, teach, or advise others. Only cultivate the spark in their eye; live along side them so we can evolve as one, instead of individual suffering.

So love yourself. Cultivate the holy spirit within, and whatever you need will unveil itself before you. <3
