OH! there is so much to life! So much to care about, so much to do, and millions of attitudes towards it all to choose from. Yet it's so easy to become jaded, depressed, and disillusioned. It's also very easy to become narrow minded, and to only see what will benefit your own self-designed plan.
Who will help us?
Of course there is prayer, and intuition. All we need to know is within us; even though often times our own agendas and egos can often get in the way of absolute truth. It is the battle between Knowing and Thinking in our analytical minds.
So how can we see clearly, when everything seems so gray and overwhelming, when you expected black and white? Our friends. My mother and I have been talking a lot recently about genuine friends. The ones that encourage you, will do anything for you, just for the sake of service. The unconditional love that comes from a such a friend dispels most evils in the world. But wait, this sounds idealistic and unrealistic. No one can be this good! When there's a problem between friends, they cannot just discuss, forgive, and transcend! The only one you can truly trust is yourself.
What does all this individualism and distrust breed? A lonely, capitalist world where the abused abuse, and the lost stumble upon escape upon temporary escape to extract their minds from the vicious cycles of abuse. I'm not just talking about the literal sense of abuse, I'm talking about the simple ways we interact with each other, with our selves, with our earth. If it is not to evolve into strong and purposeful beings, than what is it for?
With all that life is, can we not encourage each other to evolve?
